Karapakkam is a residential locality situated along the Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) in the southern part of Chennai. Karapakkam is a part of Greater Chennai and is home to several BPO and IT/ITES companies like Tech Mahindra, Tata Consultancy Services, Accenture India, Pantheon, Infosys and Cognizant Technology Solutions among others.

Connectivity

The locality boasts of good connectivity due to its location along the Old Mahabalipuram Road. The OMR offers smooth passage of traffic. Karapakkam is well-connected to other parts of Chennai through a good system of road and rail network. MTC buses that ply through Karapakkam and OMR connect it to T Nagar, CMBT, Guindy, Nungambakkam and others. Karapakkam Bus Stop and TCS Bus Stop help in providing easy travel to the IT hubs situated in and around the locality. Perungudi Railway Station and Velachery Railway Station, both situated within 10 km radius, are located close by. Chennai Central Railway Station is situated approximately 22km from here. Chennai International Airport is 22km away, and can be reached via Tiruchi-Chennai Highway.
